The day of 26 August, 1944, Senora Rosa Estrada suffered a heart attack while doing house work, and she fell down on the fire which caused very serious burns on her face and part of her body, and the people thought she would not survive. When her husband Alejo Godines saw the serious burns she had, he prayed with all his heart to the Virgin of San Juan of the Lakes.  He prayed for the health of his wife and the Virgin gave him the miracle, and his wife was healed.  That is why he presents this retablo to Our Divine Mother.
